दिवाली के बाद खराब हुई फिरोजाबाद की हवा अब जानलेवा हो गई है। मंगलवार को वायु गुणवत्ता सूचकांक 499 पर पहुंच गया। मंगलवार को फिरोजाबाद देश के सबसे प्रदूषित जिलों की सूची में नंबर एक पर पहुंच गया। वायु प्रदूषण की स्थिति बद से बदतर होते देखकर सीपीबीसी ने ग्रेडेड रिस्पांस एक्शन प्लान लागू करने के निर्देश जारी किए हैं। एक्शन प्लान लागू करने साथ ही वायु प्रदूषण की रोकथाम के लिए नामित 16 विभागों को वायु प्रदूषण के कारकों की रोकथाम के लिए त्वरित कार्यवाही के निर्देश जारी किए गए हैं।  टीटीजेड में शामिल फिरोजाबाद में वायु प्रदूषण की स्थिति बद से बदतर हो गई है। यहां की हवा में पीएम-2.5, पीएम-10 के अलावा मानव स्वास्थ्य के लिहाज से बेहद खतरनाक नाइट्रोजन, सोडियम और कार्बनिक तत्वों की मात्रा काफी बढ़ गई है। सीपीसीबी द्वारा नगला भाऊ पर स्थापित ऑनलाइन मॉनिटरिंग सिस्टम द्वारा शाम करीब पांच बजे जारी रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक सुहागनगरी के आसमान में पीएम-2.5 मेटल, कार्बन एवं कार्बन की मात्रा 489 माइक्रोमिलीग्राम, पीएम-10 में शुमार धूल के कण, बोरियम, सल्फेट आदि की मात्रा 465 माइक्रोमिलीग्राम तक दर्ज की गई है।

कांचनगरी में दीपोत्सव पर तेज धमाकों के साथ रातभर पटाखे चले थे। इस त्योहार पर पटाखों के प्रदूषण ने जिले के हालातों को खराब कर दिया था। इसके अलावा आसपास के जिलों में भी पटाखों के चलते यहां पर प्रदूषण की धुंध लगातार आ रही थी। मंगलवार को प्रदूषण की स्थिति देश में फिरोजाबाद की पहले नम्बर पर आ गई है।

सुप्रीम कोर्ट एवं एनजीटी ने हरित पटाखा जलाने के निर्देश दिए थे
टीटीजेड में शामिल फिरोजाबाद में वायु और ध्वनि प्रदूषण की रोकथाम के लिए सुप्रीम कोर्ट एवं एनजीटी ने हरित पटाखा जलाने के निर्देश दिए थे। लोगों से कार्बनिक तत्वों के अलावा आर्सेनिक, लेड आदि तत्वों का उर्त्सजन करने वाले पटाखों के प्रयोग नहीं करने की अपील भी की गई। हालांकि बृहस्पतिवार रात दिवाली पर शहर के आंतरिक इलाकों में जमकर आतिशबाजी की गई।

वायु प्रदूषण की स्थिति में हवा का प्रवाह बढ़ने एवं तेज धूप निकलने के बाद सुधार होगा। फिरोजाबाद में आतिशबाजी का बेहतहाशा प्रयोग एवं वाहनों से उत्सर्जित धुएं में घुलनशील कार्बनिक तत्वों से भी प्रदूषण का ग्राफ बढ़ा है। फिलहाल हॉटस्पॉट इलाकों में नगर निगम के सहयोग से पानी का छिड़काव करा रहे हैं। उम्मीद है कि एक दो दिन में मौसम साफ होगा।
