भारतीय संस्कृति में आमतौर पर किसी इंसान की मृत्यु हो जाने पर उसके शव का अतिशीघ्र ही अंतिम संस्कार कर दिया जाता है. डेड बॉडी (Dead Body) को ज़्यादा देर तक रखने से वो सड़ने लगती है. लेकिन क्या आपने कभी सोचा है कि अगर स्पेस (Space) में किसी अंतरिक्ष यात्री (Astronaut) की मौत हो जाए तो उसके शव का क्या किया जाता है? क्योंकि धरती पर तुरंत वापस आना वैज्ञानिकों के लिए नामुमकिन होता है. तो चलिए आज आपको बताते हैं इस कंडीशन में स्पेस में शव का क्या किया जाता होगा.
अंतरिक्ष यान (Spacecraft) में अंतरिक्ष यात्रियों (Astronaut’s) के शव को सुरक्षित रखने की कोई सुविधा नहीं होती और न ही अंतरिक्ष (Space) में शव को जलाया जा सकता है. इस दौरान एस्ट्रोनॉट के शव (Astronaut’s Body) को धरती पर लाने के लिए मिशन को अधूरा भी नहीं छोड़ा जा सकता. ऐसे में शव के साथ जो किया जाता है वो जानकार आप हैरान जायेंगे.
स्पेस में ही छोड़ दिया जाता है शव
अंतरिक्ष (Space) में जब भी इस तरह की स्थिति बनती है तो ऐसे में शव को एयरलॉक (Airlock) में पैक करके स्पेस में ही छोड़ दिया जाता है. ऐसा करने के बाद डेड बॉडी अंतरिक्ष में ही ठंड के कारण आइस ममी (Ice Mummy) में तब्दील हो जाती है. शव को स्पेस में छोड़ने के बाद अगर वो किसी चीज से टकराता नहीं है तो वो अनिश्चित काल तक स्पेस में रह सकता है. विशेषज्ञों की मानें तो ये शव लाखों वर्षों तक इसी तरह ममी बनकर अंतरिक्ष में रह सकता है.
दरअसल, ये बात उस वक्त सामने आई थी, जब NASA के अपोलो मिशन (Apollo Mission) के दौरान बने ‘स्पेस सूट’ का टेस्ट किया गया था. इस दौरान ये पता चला था कि स्पेस (Space) के प्रेशर की वजह से डेड बॉडी (Dead Body) में विस्फोट भी हो सकता है.
अब तक हो चुकी है 3 एस्ट्रोनॉट्स की मौत
NASA के अंतरिक्ष यात्री टेरी विर्ट्स (Terry Virts) के मुताबिक़, किसी भी अंतरिक्ष यात्री के लिए स्पेस में मरना शायद आख़िरी चॉइस होगी. कोई भी एस्ट्रोनॉट इसके बारे में बात करना भी पसंद नहीं करता. अभी तक स्पेस में मरने वाले लोगों में 3 अंतरिक्ष यात्रियों (Astronauts) के नाम शामिल है. ये तीनों 1971 में सोवियत मिशन के लिए ‘सोयूज़ 11’ में गए थे. इस दौरान पृथ्वी पर लौटते हुए उनके कैप्सूल में प्रेशर के कारण हुए विस्फोट में उनकी मौत हो गई थी. उनकी लाश जब मिली तो तीनों का ‘ब्रेन हेमरेज’ हो चुका था.
अंतरिक्ष वैज्ञानिकों के मुताबिक़, स्पेस मिशन पर गए यात्री के शव को पृथ्वी पर वापस लाने के लिए कई महीने लग सकते हैं. इसीलिए अगर स्पेस में उसके शव को नष्ट करने के लिए कई तरीके अपनाए जा सकते हैं. इनमें शव को अंतरिक्ष में छोड़ देना, मंगल ग्रह पर दफन करना आदि शामिल है. मंगल ग्रह पर शव को दफ़न करने के विकल्प तो होता है. इस दौरान मंगल की सतह को खराब होने से बचाने के लिए शव को पहले जलाना होगा. लेकिन ये काम बेहद जटिल है, जिसके बारे में रिसर्च चल रही है.
स्पेस में वैज्ञानिकों की ‘डेड बॉडी’ को सुरक्षित रखने और उसे धरती पर वापस लाने को लेकर भी कई शोध चल रहे हैं. इसके लिए प्रोमेसा नाम की स्वीडिश कंपनी ‘अंतरिक्ष ताबूत’ बनाने को लेकर प्रयासरत है.
